We The Green Troops have a mission to make an Eco school. It is our job to make our school a better place and more Eco friendly.

The Green Troops

Through the school council it was decided to try and get our school more involved in recycling and environmental issues. We joined the eco-schools network and are working well on the way to achieving our bronze award for all the work we have done so far! Our school is now part of an international group of schools working towards education for sustainable development and a better quality of life for local and global communities.

We held a competition in school to design a logo for our green troops. We had a lot of entries and the standard was high but after shortlisting and voting it was decided that Adam Musk was the winner. Here is his winning design. This design will now be used on all our correspondence.

We recently held a competition in school to design an allotment/sensory garden area. During a green troops meeting we discussed our plans with Siggy from DMBC's allotment team. Siggy gave us lots of ideas, took away the winning designs and has arranged to help us with the design of our allotment.
Here are some pictures of the area we are hoping to improve. Members of DMBC community first team came to help us dig and set up a hedge area.
