Welcome to OLMC Catholic Primary School!

“For nothing will be impossible with God.”

Luke 1:37

I am very pleased to welcome you to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Primary School part of the St Francis Catholic Multi-Academy Trust and thank you for visiting our website. Our Lady of Mount Carmel is a very special place which we would like to share with you all.

I am very proud and honoured to be the Headteacher of our school, leading a team of dedicated staff who work closely a with our parents and local community to provide the best education, opportunities and experiences for all our children to reach their full potential. As a Catholic school our teaching and ethos is centred on the Gospel values which are shared through the teachings of the Bible.

“Start children off the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”

Proverbs 22:6

Our schools vision is encompassed through 5 core values; Happy, caring, valued, unique and successful. We have high expectations and aspirations for our children which are supported through a strong community, built upon mutual respect and collaboration to follow the guidance of Christ as our greatest teacher.

These values are integral to our curriculum design and learning environment which allows our children to learn more and remember more through their deepening relationship with God, respect for others and the world around them. The use of enquiry and experiences to enthuse children to have a love for learning ensures that the children contribute to school and community life with no limit on what they can achieve.

We provide a safe and nurturing school which sees every child as an individual, by choosing to send your child to our school you are becoming part of our community as partners in the learning and wellbeing of your child.

We look forward to welcoming you to our wonderful school, working with you and your child.

Philippa Martin
Headteacher
