CAFOD are the official aid agency for the Catholic Church in England and Wales. With your help, they reach out to people living in hard-to-reach places, in war zones and those who are discriminated against.

CAFOD believe that if one of us is hurt, hungry or abandoned, we all are hurt, hungry
and abandoned. No one should be beyond the love and support they need to live a
dignified life. CAFOD has enabled us to think collectively as a school and
community on how we can contribute in different ways.

This Mental Health Awareness Week is all about celebrating our communities and how they support our mental health. 💜

For many of us, community is found in online spaces, where we connect with others over hobbies and interests, shared identities and experiences. 📱💻

But not all communities are good for us. And sometimes, online communities can do more harm than good, particularly for young people.

During the week, we’ll be championing positive communities, while raising awareness of the risks of harmful spaces – particularly online. On Wednesday, we’ll be taking our campaign to parliament, where we’ll call on the government for urgent reform to better protect young people’s mental health in online spaces through regulations and education.
