Welcome to our Reception Class page!

Designated safeguarding: Mrs Martin
Deputy safeguarding lead: Mr Shelton and Mrs Nadolny
To our wonderful new parents, guardians and children,
I am extremely proud to be the EYFS teacher of Our Lady of Mount Carmel primary School. In our reception class, we put the whole child at the heart of everything we do. Every pupil is valued, and all achievements are celebrated. An individual’s well-being is a prominent feature of our learning community. Our early years team offer a curriculum that is enriched, creative and stimulating. We want all children to succeed; to achieve their full potential, be prepared for the future and become confident, thoughtful young people so that they leave us prepared for the future challenges of an exciting and global world.
The school values and promotes well-being across the whole school community, nurturing relationships within the school that are positive and happy, reflecting our caring ethos. We want all children to foster a love of learning enabling them to excel, be the best they can and achieve the necessary life skills for their future.
We will do our very best every day to be your child’s guide in learning and exploring this bright new world they have just stepped into.
So, thank you for choosing our school and we look forward to having you as part of our warm and friendly community.
Best wishes from Mrs. Seddon, Mrs. Procter, Mrs. Ada and Miss. McMaster.

🏃♂️🏃♀️❤️ WOW, WOW, WOW! WHAT A WEEK! ❤️🏃♀️🏃♂️
I cannot even begin to explain just how PROUD I am of every single child at our school following this week’s charity running challenge! 🌟
The children have completely BLOWN ME AWAY! 🤩
I honestly never expected so many children to complete 12 laps (5K) in just 30 minutes! Yet we had 3 or 4 children in EACH class achieve this incredible milestone! 👏👏
🏅 A HUGE shout-out to Edward in Y6, who smashed an unbelievable 17 LAPS – the most in the whole school!
🏅 And to our little superstar Vinny in Reception, who completed an amazing 12 LAPS! What an achievement for such little legs! ❤️
But do you know what made me proudest of all?
It wasn’t the number of laps. It was watching children run holding hands, encourage each other, cheer their friends on and dig deep to keep going. 🥹❤️
They showed resilience, determination, kindness and teamwork – everything this challenge was about!
Every child understood WHY we were running. For a very special boy, Owen, and in recognition of the incredible support this wonderful Sheffield charity has also given Oscar Martin. ❤️
Watching our children push themselves, not just for their own achievements but for others, has been something really special.
Every single lap mattered. Every single child made a difference. 🌟
I have absolutely LOVED watching each class give it their all this week.
OLMC, YOU HAVE DONE US PROUD! ❤️
🙏 PLEASE, PLEASE DONATE! If you haven’t already, please head over to Arbor and support this wonderful cause. Every donation, big or small, will make a difference.
One very, very proud Mrs Elsmore! ❤️🏃♀️🏃♂️#owensoctoberchallenge #OLMC#pact PACT SheffieldOur Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Primary, Doncaster ... See MoreSee Less

🌟 A FANTASTIC NEW RESOURCE FOR OUR YOUNG PEOPLE! 🌟
Four of our OLMC children, alongside Mrs Wright, had the privilege of attending the official opening of Wheatley Youth Hub! 🎉
What an exciting addition to our local community! There is SO MUCH going on, with a fantastic range of activities and opportunities for young people to get involved in, learn new skills, make friends and have fun. 💙🙌
We would encourage our families to take a look at the timetables to find out more about what is on offer. There really is something exciting for our young people to explore!
We are delighted to see such a wonderful resource being created for our community and look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on our children and young people. ✨
